Born in Karachi, to a Pakistani father and a Chilean mother, her practice and research interests are focused on the notions of home and belonging, tied to the broader theme of distinctiveness due to her interfaith and unique mixed-race background. Intimacy in her visuals is expressed through character interactions in domestic settings.
