Inspired by the themes of life, hope and` interconnectivity between people and urbanity, while
centering the brown female body within this larger context. Haya’s practice is informed by her
experimentation with various surfaces, media and the traditional art of Indo-Persian Miniature painting. Trained as a Miniaturist, she has consistently tried to break free from the strict two-dimensional stylization of Miniature Painting’s aesthetic. Incorporating motifs and elements that are deeply rooted in its various schools, her work is governed by a devotion to visual dynamism.
