Bidhata's Practice

Bidhata KC’s versatile practice draws on a variety of media to explore her understanding of, and relationship with, nature and society. She has extensively exhibited her work internationally, and is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the “Master Tej Bahadur Chitrakar Smriti Puraskar” for the Best Painting/Artist category. With 8 solo exhibitions to her name, and representation by the Nepal Art Council at the India Art Fair in 2016, KC has been commissioned to create work for the Kathmandu Triennale, has been included in the 100 Most Influential Women of Nepal in 2018, and is also the recipient of the Australian Himalayan Foundation Art Award, 2018. She was awarded the Asian Artist Fellowship, at the Contemporary Art Museum of Korea, and was a Glocalization of Art: Contemporary Art Practice 2010 grantee. KC currently lives and works in Nepal.
