Bibi Hajra’s thematically diverse practice applies a satirical and gendered lens to her two-dimensional depictions, or reimaginings, of ordinary stories transpiring in ordinary places. She holds a Bachelors in Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore, and an Erasmus Mundus Masters in Urban Studies. Working as an architect, a university professor, and a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan, Hajra is interested in themes such as urban segregation and development, consumerism, pop culture and the relationship between religious symbolism to the city. recently religious symbolism/aesthetics and the city.
